The Submerged type Module

The submerged type Cleanfil-S modules can be directly installed in the source water. The treatment of water with this module is carried out by drawing the water through membrane in an out-in flow stream under a slight vacuum. The model numbers of modules are named according to the area of membrane: Cleanfil-S20H(area=20m2), Cleanfil-S20V(area= 20m2), Cleanfil-S30V(area=30m2). The aeration part is attached with the modules header or is separated from module frame in order to minimize the fouling problems.

The features of the type Cleanfil-S module

1. Consistent water flux & water quality
The severe aeration to the membrane prevents the exponential operational rising by the membrane contamination and the reinfored hollow fibers can resist the aeration without membrane damages. These result in effiuent water flux and suitable water quality.

2. Maximization of biological treatment
On treating the sewage or wastewater, it is possible to keep the high concentration of microorganism regardless of the source water and sludge. This makes the efficiency of biological treatment to be maximized.

3. Minimization of construction
Cleanfil-S is the hollow fiber-shaped membrane that has high water permeability per installation area and the submerged type module is applied in the established water tank without additional construction.

4. Easy installation
Since the submerged type Cleanfil-S module structure is symmetric and simple, it is easy to stack the modules for expanding the process scale.

5. Improvement of RO process
The long-term operation and few intermittent cleaning such as periodic bacwashing & CIP by chemical can be accomplished in the RO process because the pretreatment adopting the submerged type module enables the RO feed water to keep the lower SD(silt density index).

6. Simple maintenance & low operation cost
The operating pressure is lower than that of the pressurized type module and the service life of operation is longer due to the excellent durability of braid reinforced hollow fibers without additional repairing of them.
